Gerry Andersen is a graduate of Baker College with an associates degree in Business Administration and Liberty University where her earned his Bachelors in Interdisciplinary Studies with cognates in Leadership and Behavioral Sciences. He also holds a Certificate in Christian Ministry, is a Certified Master Life Coach, and has a Florida Department of Education Certificate for Basketball Coaching.

Coach Andersen has 25 plus years of coaching experience and is partners with Coach Scott Stewart in 4TL For The Love Basketball Academy. He has been coaching in Collier County Florida for 18 years. Coach Andersen has coached at Lely High School, Gulf Coast High School, Golden Gate High School, Cypress Palm Middle School, Gulfview Middle School, as well as various local leagues in the Collier County area. In 2015 and 2016 he coached two undefeated regular seasons at Gulfview Middle School. In 2016 his Gulfview Lady Panthers won the 2016 Collier County Athletic Association Conference Championship. He was also honored to be invited to be an assistant coach in the Collier County High School Boys All Star game in 2011 and the Collier County High School Girls All Star game in 2017.
In 2016 Andersen took over as Head Varsity Coach at Lely High School. His first year at Lely the team finished with a record of 1-23. Three years later in 2019 they finished with a record of 17-10 and won the Florida High School Athletic Association District Title and advanced to the regional quarter finals. Andersen was also voted 2019 Florida Athletic Coaches Association Coach of the Year. Currently he is a lead trainer and coaches various age travel teams for 4TL For The Love Basketball Academy.
Coach Andersen is married to his beautiful wife Staci, and they have four daughters, Jackie, Alexis, Arrianna, Annika, and a son Mason. He considers himself blessed to have such an amazing family and thanks them for the never ending support they give him in his life and coaching career.
